The Challenge

Dnar was developing a payment application involving multiple technical, design, compliance, and business dependencies.

The challenge was keeping Engineering, Product Design, Compliance, Legal, QA and executive stakeholders aligned while managing technical dependencies and maintaining delivery momentum.

My Role

I owned the end-to-end project delivery ecosystem, acting as the bridge between Engineering, Product Design and executive stakeholders.

I was accountable for scope, sprint planning, dependencies, stakeholder communication, risk management and release coordination.

What I Did

  • Translated product requirements into structured project scope and sprint plans.
  • Managed backlogs, timelines, dependencies and delivery priorities.
  • Coordinated dependencies involving banking APIs.
  • Identified and tracked PCI-DSS and KYC risks.
  • Worked with Product Design and Engineering to align user journeys and evaluate feature feasibility.
  • Improved design-to-development handoffs.
  • Coordinated Legal, Compliance, QA and executive sign-offs.
  • Managed release planning, beta testing and feature-flag deployment.
  • Led the Skills Scaleup program for engineering teams.

The Outcome

Delivered the payment application on time and within scope. The Skills Scaleup program also produced:

  • 40%improvement in collaboration
  • 15%reduction in development cycles

What I Learned

Complex technology projects rarely fail because one person cannot do their job. They fail when dependencies, decisions, communication and ownership are unclear.

I learned the importance of identifying blockers early, creating alignment across functions and giving teams enough structure to move quickly without losing control of quality or compliance.

Let's Build Something Meaningful.

I'm open to Senior Project & Program Management opportunities, technology and fintech initiatives, strategic partnerships, and opportunities to build across Africa and global markets.
